About Us
Guillermo A. Alzate has worked for City University of New York (CUNY)for over 13 years as a Business and Accounting Professor, as well as an instructor for the Department of Continuing Education. During this time he was a professor at Hostos University where he has gained experience in how to interact with students and help them achieve their goals. Over the years Mr. Alzate has worked with H&R Block as a Tax Advisor and Instructor. He also owns a private firm where he provides Finance, Accounting and Taxation services.
Mr. Alzate was recently invited to a conference in University Santiago of Cali (Cali-Colombia) to give a speech on Accounting and Risk Management. He has written articles in Accounting and Risk Management areas.
One of his proudest achievements was participating in projects for counseling and orientation of minorities in order to assist small businesses and give an impulse to the economy in certain areas less propitious through workshops that were supported with funding from SOBRO and the Small Business Administration.
Guillermo Alzate was born in Cali, Colombia and received his bachelor’s in Accounting in University Santiago of Cali. After moving to New York City he did his MBA in Finance with minor in Insurance & Risk Management in The College of Insurance Mr Alzate is currently working on getting his PhD in International Business Administration.
